CreateAthon® is a 24-hour marathon where brand strategists, designers, writers, web developers and broadcast producers and students come together to donate creative services for local nonprofits. The event was founded by Riggs Partners in Columbia, SC in 1997 and the network has been growing nationally and internationally. Many other marketing firms and corporations now adopt this 24-hour model and numerous CreateAthon events are held throught the year.

 

Every year, Riggs Partners designs t-shirts for the event and I was given the task to design the 2015 design. I wanted the shirts to be simple and for the shirts to be something that people would want to wear well after the event. Through many different sketches and headlines, I finally landed on a phrase that every creative has told themselves at some point:
